Saturday 10/5/19 Phil Steptoe, CCAP’s Board President accepted an award and acknowledgement given by Serenity Seventh Day Adventist Church. The award read, “For selfless dedication in meeting the needs of the people of Berkeley County.” It also referenced Matthew 9:36-38: ‘“When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.” Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”’ New International Version (NIV). Serenity church member John Washington, also a CCAP board member and volunteer, could not attend because of medical reasons, but was with all of us in spirit.
